“Birds of a Leather”

Ascension and Asos, the Scarlet Leather Macaws

All the items used in Birds of a Leather were found while on a walk with my dogs and within a mile of my home or studio. They include: red, green and white leather swatches, yellow, corrugated drain pipe, t-shirt rag, tongue depressors, a Dura-Line sign, cardboard, Hollywood Feed paper shopping bags, paint stir sticks, microchips, circuit boards, an Amazon gift card, a salvaged shelf, a salvaged rusted plumbing pipe, a wine cork, 6 plastic spoons, a plastic grenade, 2 take out containers, assorted metal pieces, salvaged wire, metal conduit, Dos Equis beer bottle caps, Angry Orchard beer bottle cap, assorted plastic pieces, an allen wrench, assorted screws, nails, staples, glue and acrylic paint. Displayed on a wood panel and in a salvaged black frame.

“Pipe Dream” - The Junkyard Fish

All the items used in Pipe Dream were found while on a walk with my dogs and within a mile of my home or studio. They include: 18 Aluminum cans, a soap tin, a chewing tobacco tin, 3 plastic bottles, bottle caps, 1 hubcap, packing styrofoam, foam backer rods, foam packing material, cardboard packing material, plastic straws, plastic bags, shells, sand, wood, 2 plastic placemats, 3 face masks, 3 plastic spoons, 1 mop head, a mop, a thermostat, a plastic pot, a comb, a cell phone, a cell phone case, roof shingles, shower loofah, barrier netting, a hoop earring, a barrette clip, assorted jewelry, an agate coaster, microchips, a plastic toy boat, a saline vial, a ceiling fan flywheel, assorted metal pieces, assorted plastic pieces, keys, a credit card, 2 usb drives, trimmings from a gel shoe insert, broken glass, a rubber ball, a repurposed piece of art, buttons, an allen wrench, an R scrabble letter, electrical wire, assorted screws, nails, staples, glue, paint stir sticks and acrylic paint. Displayed on a wood panel and in a black frame.
